Theme "The Second Life of Quantum Field Theory"
Abstract: Modern quantum field theory (QFT) underwent radical changes compared to what students learn in their textbooks. A number of concepts which had been considered critical were totally reinterpreted. New concepts emerged mainly under the influence of supersymmetry and qualitative lessons from string theory. The focus of modern QFT is strong coupling regime. Remarkable discoveries and advances in this realm occurred both in condensed matter and high energy physics.
