My research lies in the area of geometric methods in field theory. I am particularly interested in the presymplectic BV–AKSZ approach, where the full information about a Lagrangian field theory is encoded in a finite-dimensional presymplectic Q-manifold. Within this framework, one can systematically add contractible space-time dimensions without affecting the physical content of the theory. Together with Maxim Grigoriev, we have applied this approach to N=1 D=4 supergravity, relating its presymplectic formulation to its “rheonomic” one, and to the N=1 spinning particle, deriving its Lagrangian superfield formulation from the presymplectic BV–AKSZ one. Our current work aims to extend this framework to more general supersymmetric systems.
