ITMP invites applications for several fellowships for PhD students to start on October 1, 2019. This fellowships are meant for PhD students planning to conduct scientific research at ITMP.
Applicants must have a Masters degree or equivalent in theoretical or mathematical physics before October 2019. They will be expected to participate in the research activity of
ITMP under a supervision of the members of the local group or the ITMP scientific council (see http://itmp.msu.ru/en/institute) with the aim of obtaining a PhD degree in theoretical or mathematical physics. At present the activity of the Institute is focused on the following areas: mathematical physics, quantum field theory, theoretical particle physics, conformal field theory and holography, string theory, gravity and cosmology.
This fellowship is offered for up to 4 years with the monthly salary of 35 thousand roubles (around 450 Euro) after tax.
We expect that a successful applicant will be enrolled in a postgraduate program (aspirantura) in one or another university or research institute for the duration of the fellowship.
The application deadline for a fellowship is July 1, 2019.
