ITMP invites applications for several full-time PhD postgraduate positions at ITMP, to start on October 1, 2019.
These positions assume enrollment of the successful applicants in the PhD program at the Physics Faculty of MSU. Applicants must have a Masters degree or equivalent in theoretical or mathematical physics before October 2019. They will be expected to participate in the research activity of ITMP under a supervision of the members of the local group or the ITMP scientific council (see http://itmp.msu.ru/en/institute/council) with the aim of obtaining a PhD degree in theoretical or mathematical physics. At present the activity of the Institute is focused on the following areas: mathematical physics, quantum field theory, theoretical particle physics, conformal field theory and holography, string theory, gravity and cosmology.
This PhD position is a full-time employment at ITMP offered for 4 years with the monthly salary of 70 thousand roubles (around 950 Euro) after tax. We expect that a successful applicant will enroll in the graduate program at the Physics Faculty of MSU, to start on October 1, 2019, see https://phys.msu.ru/eng/education/grads/ .
